Flexible
One of the frustrations of other systems today is that they rarely provide the flexibility you need to run your operations. Total Offender Management has been designed from the ground up with this in mind. For example:
- Nearly every dropdown field in the system can be easily maintained by you. There’s no need to get a programmer just to add a new status code!
- For many screens that don’t have a field you need, you can define custom “user defined” fields. And they’ll automatically validate the data your users enter to make sure dates are entered as dates, numbers are entered as numbers, etc.
- Many events in the system are workflow enabled. Need to send an email to someone when a client enters a new program? No problem. Just use the wizard to configure it.

Affordable
Total Offender Management is built using cost-effective Microsoft tools. Since this system is hosted on your own servers, using common Microsoft technologies makes it easy for your IT staff or contractors to support. If you’re a non-profit organization, then you can purchase the entire software requirements through TechSoup for a great discount.
Ongoing licensing and support is paid monthly based on your average active clients per day. Residential and community clients have separate fee schedules. And unless you want something built that won’t be usable by other companies, you won’t ever pay more for reports and new functionality.

Control
Total Offender Management is hosted on your own server, so you control the system. You control who has access, when downtime is scheduled, and where backups are stored. Don’t worry though…we can help you if you need it.
Beyond that, the system is built on a SQL Server database that you own. This means that your own IT team can access the database to write custom reports, extract data, or integrate data with other systems you may run. We even provide you with a custom set of views for reporting that make report development a snap!

User Guided Development
We follow a user-driven development process. Here’s how it works:
- Any registered user of the system can access an online forum and submit a suggestion for an improvement.
- Every month, we’ll gather up the existing list of development requests and solicit your feedback on what the priority items should be.
- You assign point values to your top feature requests.
- We collect the feedback.
- Your top priorities become our top priorities.
- Finally, we have conference calls where all users of the system can join in to develop the requirements for the newly prioritized features.
